(CMR) The Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park and Bliss Yoga hope to bring visitors to feel at one with nature through a series of yoga classes inside the beautiful grounds of the Park this month.
As an extension of Earth Day, celebrated on April 22, the classes are being held on three consecutive Sundays: April 11, 18, and 25.
The classes can be reserved by donation only, and all ages and levels of experience are welcome to attend.
“There is no minimum donation, and all proceeds will benefit the continued development of the Children’s Garden,” said John Lawrus, Botanic Park General Manager.
“Your contribution will help further the development, along with helping our children understand the importance of the environment and respect for the earth that we all share. So, feel free to bring them along,” added Lawrus.
Director of Yoga at Bliss, Janelle Kroon, says the effects of being in nature really allow the body and mind to rest and to feel elevated.
“Because we are going to be in the gardens at the Botanic Park, there will be a real sense of ease and calm, and we feel people will walk away with reduced anxiety and stress, which is pretty perfect for this time right now,” said Kroon.
All donations can be made at the park on the day of class. To sign up, please call Bliss at 949-9642 or email [email protected].
