(CMR) Local attorney, James Smith, is suing his former employers law firm Stuarts Walker Hersant Humphries according to a Writ of Summons filed on October 30, 2019.
Smith, who worked for the firm for a little shy of five years claims that for two of those years he was entitled to bonus which was not paid. The document stated that according to his July 2014 contract he should have been paid an agreed upon bonus based on a Schedule which he attached. The amount was not available in the filed court documents. It appears that he ended his employment in June 2019 and is now working at Harneys as a senior associate. He started Stuarts as an associate attorney and was promoted to senior associate in February 2018 before his departure.
He worked in the UK prior and attended law school at Cardiff University.
