(CMR) Archie's Bar and Restaurant re-opened earlier this month with a temporary liquor license after a six-week closure due to various infractions. CMR previously reported that Archie's had been forced to close due to their liquor license being pulled because of various health and fire code violations.
There had also been concerns about the various number of times that the establishment had been raided in the past few years for gambling and drugs with numerous arrests being made. In May 2018 joint task units made up of members of the RCIPS, Customs and the Immigration Departments made six arrests at the location. The owner, Constance Dixon, has claimed that the issue is people loitering outside the establishment and not patrons inside.
The Liquor Licensing Board issued Archie’s a temporary license that expires in December.
