Arriving passengers were all so subject to screenings, thermal checks as well as had to complete a health declaration form.
Prime Minister of the island Gaston Browne welcomed the return of international flights noting that citizens cannot live their lives hiding from the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The PM's sentiments were shared by the Tourism Minister, Charles “Max” Fernandez who said that it was the first step to reviving the economy.
“Today we take our first steps to restoring and reviving our tourism economy as we open our borders to commercial, international travel,” said Fernandez.
