(CMR) All sex is transactional, according to Jamaican internet sensation Mackerel.
Mackerel made the statement recently while speaking to dancehall artiste QQ on his Instagram live.
The 20-year-old known for the slogan “tek weh people man” said that she made it known up front to men that she was not interested in pleasure for pleasure’s own sake but was very needy and had plenty of bills.
QQ’s Instagram live got going with the entertainer asking Mackerel if she would financially support a man, colloquially known in Jamaica as ” mining a man”.
“Mi nuh mine man, me feed dem,” said Mackerel in response to QQ’s question.
Mackerel said while she would purchase a ‘box lunch’ for a man she was sexually involved with, buying other large ticket items such as articles of clothing and accessories were off limits in her books.
According to Mackerel, men are to provide for women and not the other way around, citing that this was not her opinion but her interpretation of what is written in the bible.
Mackerel went on to state that one of the reasons she cheats is to provide for herself.
“Mek me tell unno dis why me [sex] pon man, me nuh know about a other girl, but you see if a bowy can’t meet my needs certain way and, me want something certain things a way; me ago [sex] pon him,” said Mackerel as she explained her reason for infidelity.
According to Mackerel, her version of the bible says a woman can have as many men, as long as they can all collectively meet her needs.
“My bible seh have as many man as long as they can meet your needs. Have a man that can pay your light bill, have a man that can pay your rent, have a man that can feed, have a man that can shelter you – have a man that can do everything; you don’t want one man to tell you seh you is a bother to me,” explained Mackerel.
Mackerel explained that it was unreasonable to ask one man to take care of all her financial needs, hence the need for more than one man.
According to Mackerel, all women, some covertly, engage in transactional sex, noting that no woman would be in a relationship with a man that could not assist her in some way.
Born Ladasha Francis, Mackerel rose to fame following her comedic YouTube clips and vibrant personality.
