(CMR) While the two tropical storms which are currently at sea pose no risk to the Cayman Islands, the local weather service has said that Caymanians can expect afternoon showers.
According to the Cayman Islands National Weather Service (CINWS), Isolated showers along with light winds and slight seas will continue across the Cayman area for the next 24 hours in association with a tropical wave moving over the northwest Caribbean.
Radar images show isolated showers in and around the Cayman area moving towards the northwest.
For this evening expect, partly cloudy skies with cloudy spells and a 30% chance of showers and possible thunder. Temperatures will fall to the mid 70’s °F.
Winds will be easterly at 5 knots or less. Seas will be smooth to slight with wave heights less than 2 feet.
