Access to justice: Government gets it right!

After being injured in an accident, most people are hesitant to hire an attorney because they cannot afford their hourly fees. However, on May 1, 2021, the Cayman Islands Government effected a new law called The Private Funding of Legal Services Bill.  This newly enacted legislation allows access to justice in personal injury cases and medical malpractice litigation.

Recover Personal Injury Attorneys (“RECOVER”), a division of Broadhurst LLC, is pleased to announce that we offer legal services on a contingency fee basis. In other words, you owe no fees unless we obtain compensation for your injuries and damages.

What is a Contingency Fee Agreement?

A contingency fee arrangement is one where fees are only due if your attorney successfully obtains a recovery on your behalf. The fee will be collected from the amount awarded. This is generally a percentage of a client’s recovery. Should your attorneys be unable to recover a settlement or verdict, they will not be paid.

Your attorneys’ fees are contingent on you getting compensated for the losses you have suffered.  This type of fee agreement allows attorneys to provide legal services to injured victims at no upfront cost, making it possible for anyone to be able to afford legal representation.

Working with RECOVER allows injured victims the chance to obtain legal representation and pursue a claim without the financial risk. You would owe nothing for using our services if the case is not won.

How Much Would the Contingency Fee Be?

The contingency fee is a percentage of the total amount awarded. The amount awarded will depend on several different factors unique to your situation, such as: the nature and extent of your injuries; the amount of your medical bills in the past and into the future; loss of wages; the effects your injuries have had on your life; and whether your injuries resolve or are permanent.

Call for a Free Consultation to Get Started!

RECOVER will not charge you for an initial consultation with a member of our legal team, so you can call us any time and schedule an appointment to meet with us to learn more about your rights and legal options.

We have over three decades of experience helping injured victims seek maximum compensation for their damages. Our attorneys are regularly instructed in serious cases and have obtained some of the highest awards in the Cayman Islands.

We welcome the opportunity to review your claim during a free consultation. You are under no obligation to hire us after this meeting. There are no upfront fees for our services. We only get paid if you do.  Call us today!
