(CMR) 70-year-old Bodden Town taxi driver has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and causing death by careless driving.
The incident claimed the life of the visiting Jamaican doctor who had just arrived on the island on July 18, 2017. 62-year-old Vary Jones Leslie was killed after she succumbed to injuries sustained after she was hit by a taxi driver at the Owen Roberts International Airport (ORIA).
Jones-Leslie, who was an obstetrician/gynecologist, had arrived on the island to take up a temporary job at the Health Service Authority (HSA).
The accused is to appear in court on February 5.
