(CMR) Cayman Marl Road has received some exclusive information that cabinet members were busy working hard today to amend the regulations in order to ease the shelter in place provisions. As a result, there was no daily press briefing. The regulations will permit some businesses to re-open starting Monday, May 4.
Additionally, the easing of the current restrictions will be done in several phases and should is set to include:
- Farmers market
- Fishing boats
- Fish market
- Landscaping & gardening
- Mobile car washing
- Pet care dropoff and collection only
- Pool maintenance/services
- Retail by order/delivery of goods only. No servicing or maintenance permitted
- Money services – subject to meeting certain requirements
It is estimated that some 6,000 persons will be unlocked as a result of these business categories being permitted to re-open.
