(CMR) Family, friends, and colleagues of Cayman Airways‘ first officer Adrian West have expressed shock at his passing. West reportedly died on Friday, 28 July.
West is remembered by many as a kind and humble person who always shared a good laugh with everyone.
Facebook user Pamella Graham stated, “I am so sad, mourning the loss of my dear cousin Adrian West (Josh) of the Cayman Islands. I know all of Cayman is grieving the sudden loss of one of the nicest people you could know.”
Halcy Lofters, another person on Facebook, said, “This is so difficult to believe. I will always remember your sweet little smile SIP, my condolences”
Craig Connor, who said he was to meet with West on Friday, said he was still trying to process everything.
“We were supposed to link up on Friday evening, and I was going to tell you about my new career path in aviation, which I could hear you saying now, “Waaa ya say man rolling with the top shots now.” So many good times and funny jokes Uncle Josh (as our crew would call you),” he wrote.
CMR understands that before becoming a pilot, West worked in Information Technology and was a motorcycle enthusiast. He also participated in body-building competitions in the past.
West, who was a pilot for more than 10 years, is mourned by his wife and children.
