(CMR) A 47-year-old American flight attendant was arrested on Tuesday for attempting to smuggle a quantity of cocaine through Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Reports are that at about 12:30 p.m., the flight attendant arrived at the airport and was attempting to board a departing flight to New York. During security procedures, the cocaine which weighs approximately 1.5 kilograms, was found concealed in her luggage.
The woman was arrested on reasonable suspicion for breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act. Her identity is being withheld pending further investigations. The drug has a street value of around US$75,000.
