UPDATE: Eight-year-old Danielle Rowe, who was kidnapped and her throat slashed, died Saturday morning, 10 June, while being treated at the Bustamante Children's Hospital in Jamaica. As police continue to investigate the terrible crime against this young child, it was revealed that she is the daughter of a member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.
(CMR) An eight-year-old Jamaican girl is hospitalized after she was reportedly abducted from school and her throat slashed Thursday afternoon, 8 June.
According to local news reports, the girl was taken from her school, Braeton Primary in Portmore, St Catherine, in a motor car and transported to Vineyard Town in St Andrew, where she was thrown from the vehicle.
She was reportedly found by passers-by and rushed to hospital, where she has since been admitted.
Police have confirmed the incident but are yet to establish a motive for the abduction and attempted murder, the Jamaica Observer reported.
