(CMR) The police are investigating another armed robbery after two men robbed a restaurant on Lawrence Blvd, George Town, before 1:20 am, 1 June.
Reports from the RCIPS are that two persons armed with firearms were reported to have attended the location and demanded cash from the register. The perpetrators made off with a quantity of cash in a vehicle towards West Bay Road. Armed officers conducted searches, and a vehicle believed to be involved in the incident was recovered by the police as evidence. Further checks were made; however, the perpetrators were not located.
The incident is being investigated by police, and anyone with information is being asked to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222. Anonymous tips can be provided directly to the RCIPS via their Confidential Tip Line at 949-7777 or via their website.
A reward of up to $50,000 is provided by Crime Stoppers Cayman for tips that lead to an arrest and charge for gun-related crimes. Anonymous tips may be submitted via the Cayman Crime Stoppers website.
