(CMR) The Cayman Brac police are investigating four burglary incidents including at a business establishment and a church, over the weekend.

Reports from the RCIPS are that at around 6:15 am on Friday, 21 April, police responded to a report of a burglary incident that took place at a business premises on West End Road East, Cayman Brac. It was reported a window was broken to gain entry, and the premises was left in disarray. A Ford F-150 truck was stolen from the location, along with a quantity of cash and food items.

Just before 11:45 am the same day, a second report was made to the Cayman Brac Police Station that an attempted burglary occurred at a church located on West End Road West.  It was reported two louvers were removed from a window at the location.

The Air Operation Unit (AOU) traveled to Cayman Brac on Saturday, 22 April to conduct an aerial search over the island, and the truck was subsequently recovered.

This morning, Tuesday, 25 April, two further burglaries were reported to police.  The first burglary incident occurred at the same business premises on West End Road East, where a window was broken and food stolen. Blood seen on the floor is believed to be that of the burglar, who may have suffered injuries breaking in. The second burglary took place at a commercial property on West End Road East, where a rear door was forced open.  Nothing was reported stolen.

The AOU is returning to Cayman Brac today, along with Crime Scene Investigation staff, to support investigations into the burglaries.

These four incidents are being investigated by the Cayman Brac Police Station, and anyone with information is encouraged to call 948-0331.  Alternatively, anonymous tips may be submitted through their Confidential Tip Line at 949-7777 or submit a tip via their website.
