(CMR) The Cayman Islands Cancer Society (CICS) has appointed Dave O’Driscoll to the position of Operations Manager.
Mr. O’Driscoll brings an infectious energy and passion to all around him and looks forward to helping CICS grow, aiding as many suffering from cancer as possible while educating the community on cancer care and prevention.
Mr. O’Driscoll moved to Cayman over 16 years ago, finding a job as a beach boy with the infamous Beach Club Resort. He quickly realized the charitable and caring community within Cayman's white sandy beaches. He began using his days off to take dogs from the Humane Society to the beach and growing his mustache to raise money for Movember Cayman.
He kept up his passion for helping our canine friends over the years and now has three adopted dogs sharing his house with his beautiful wife Maria and their baby daughter Kaia.
He is probably better known around Cayman as being the furry face of Movember, where he took over as chairman in 2017, continuing to raise money for the Cayman Islands Cancer Society through fun events held during November.
The Cayman Islands Cancer Society (CICS) is a non-profit charitable organization established in 1995. The CICS supports public health initiatives such as the Cayman Islands Health Services Chemotherapy Unit and the HPV cervical cancer vaccine program. The CICS also provides financial aid assistance to cancer patients and education and prevention programs to community members.
