(CMR) Police have now arrested the driver of a white Escalade, which was involved in a fatal collision last night at about 9:30 pm on Frank Sound Road. The driver left the scene of the collision; however, several persons have been able to identify him.
CMR understands that Kent Rankine (47) was arrested in North Side with a knife in his hand. He has been arrested on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident and Causing Death by Careless Driving. He remains in custody as investigations continue.
The second cyclist, who was injured in the collision and transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital, has since been discharged.
The vehicle involved in the crash was reportedly found before police arrested Rankine.
