(CMR) Honduran government officials are visiting the Cayman Islands to assist with consular-related services, including obtaining a new national ID and renewal of passports. This historical opportunity was made possible with a collaboration between the Cayman Islands and the government of Honduras.
The Honduran delegation arrived several days ago and will be staying until Thursday. Honduran nationals are able to attend the Seafarer's Hall on Victory Avenue in Prospect. They are asked to take in any expired documents along with government-issued identification to take advantage of the available services.
The delegation of about 11 government officials arrived from Honduras on Friday. They are being assisted by the Honduran Committee in the Cayman Islands. There will be no cost for the services provided.
There is no cost for the national ID card, but the passports are:

The visit is the first in an ongoing outreach program for Honduras around the world under the leadership of the new president, Xiomara Castro.
