(CMR) Repeat domestic violence offender Brandon Beckett (29), from Bodden Town, has been formally charged with assault ABH, threats to kill, wrongful confinement, and damage to property in relation to a series of domestic incidents between 13 and 16 February.
Beckett was sentenced on similar allegations to 3.5 years in prison in 2021 after pleading guilty to several offenses against a female he lived with in George Town. However, 20 months already served were deducted.
Police said Beckett is also subject to a protection order relating to the victim in this recent incident and has, therefore, been charged with two counts of breach of a protection order. He was also charged with assaulting police and attempting to escape lawful custody in relation to his actions following his arrest on 16 February.
He appeared in court on Monday, 20 February.
