(CMR) The Ministry of Youth, Sports, Culture & Heritage (MYSCH) has welcomed Caymanian Theresa Cole-Dawes as a policy analyst to its team. She joins the Ministry’s Policy team alongside Ms. Alanis Linwood-Amor, and Ms. Tunisia Barnes.
“We are excited to have Theresa on board. Her previous experience is directly transferrable to her current post and will allow her to utilize her skills and abilities to support and enhance the work of the Ministry,” said MYSCH’s Chief Officer Teresa Echenique.
“As a new Ministry, we have a good deal of ground to cover to achieve our goals, including policy development for youth, sports culture and heritage,” she added.
Mrs. Cole-Dawes’s responsibilities will include assisting in the planning and development of policies to enhance and sustain the efforts of the Ministry’s subject areas. She will also provide strategic analysis, research to improve existing and new policies and legislation, along with other youth, sports and culture work aligned with the post.
With a Bachelor’s degree (Hon.) in Communication from the University of Tampa, the digital marketing professional has six years of government experience with the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism (CIDOT); and an immense passion for the work of the Ministry.
Speaking on her appointment, Mrs. Cole-Dawes said: “I am delighted to be taking on this new role and I look forward to bringing about positive change in the areas of youth, sports, culture and heritage. As a young Caymanian, it gives me great pride to know that I will be contributing to policies that will help shape our community for years to come.”
