(CMR) An investigation has been launched after millions of dollars reportedly went missing from an account belonging to eight-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt at a Jamaican investment firm.
Jamaica’s Financial Investigations Division, and Financial Services Commission are reportedly looking into the case at Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL) after the police were called.
Bolt's manager, Nugent Walker, confirmed that the money had gone missing. Walker told Jamaica Gleaner that the former athlete became aware of the discrepancies with his accounts on Wednesday.

“All the relevant steps have been taken to come to the bottom of this,” he said, adding that he was unable to disclose sums as investigations are ongoing.
“He's been with this entity over 10 years…His entire portfolio is being reviewed,” Walker told The Gleaner.
According to The Gleaner, a former employee at SSL has been implicated in a massive fraud at the entity, including the missing sums from Bolt's accounts.
