(CMR) Lisa Marie Presley, the singer and only child of Elvis, has died at age 54 after she was rushed to a hospital, mother Priscilla Presley says.
She was reportedly in Intensive Care Unit, on life support with a temporary pacemaker after suffering cardiac arrest on Thursday.
According to TMZ, sources said Lisa Marie (54) was placed in an induced coma and in critical condition.
Reports are that a housekeeper found Lisa Marie unresponsive in her bedroom. Just as the housekeeper made that discovery, her ex-husband, Danny Keough, who lives with Lisa Marie, returned home from taking their kids to school. He administered CPR until paramedics took over.
Her pulse was restored, and she was taken to a nearby Los Angeles hospital.
Lisa Marie and her mother, Priscilla Presley (77), attended the Golden Globes on Tuesday to watch Austin Butler, who won the men’s top drama acting award for his portrayal of Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann’s biopic.
In a statement posted on her Instagram, Priscilla Presley said Lisa Marie was “receiving the best care” and asked fans to keep her and the family in their prayers. Hours later, the mother announced that her daughter died.
