(CMR) Davenport Development has offered $10,000 for information that can lead to the arrest of two men who stole $75,000 worth of electrical equipment from its Bahia site near South Sound.
Thieves broke into a container containing electrical material in the wee hours of the morning of December 26, 2022. Two men were seen on camera removing the items. It took them less than an hour to remove several items, which included 90 rolls of wires.
Based on the large volume of the items taken, Davenport believes a truck may have been used to transport the items.
Paul Pearson, managing director of Davenport Development, described the theft as unfortunate. He said while the company may not get back the materials stolen, a strong message has to be sent to these criminals.,
He further explained that it is not just monetary loss, but with a difficulty in acquiring materials worldwide, the company could face challenges trying to buy back these materials, which may not be readily available.
Persons who may know the culprits in the videos or photos are asked to call Crime Stoppers or the police. Those who may not want to contact the police directly can also send info to CMR.
