(CMR) A man who was wanted for several offenses in Grand Cayman was arrested in relation to a robbery that took place in Cayman Brac on Thursday. Lisandro Tajeda Almaguer (40) was arrested during a police operation on Saturday, 24 December.
Reports are that a team of firearms officers, assisted by the Air Operations Unit and local officers, were carrying out an operation in Cayman Brac when they arrested Almaguer on suspicion of robbery. Almaguer was residing in Cayman Brac at the time of his arrest.
He was further arrested in relation to burglary incidents which he is wanted for in Grand Cayman. He remains in custody as investigations continue and is being transported to Grand Cayman.
