(CMR) Police arrested three men on Tuesday after the vehicle they were traveling in failed to stop when they were signaled to do so. A full-face black mask was found during a search of the vehicle.
Reports from the RCIPS are that firearms officers on patrol in George Town had cause to stop a vehicle in the Prospect area. The vehicle initially failed to stop after being signaled to do so and was followed by the police vehicle until it came to a stop shortly afterward.
Two male occupants of the vehicle were detained by officers, while the third occupant fled from the vehicle on foot. Officers conducted a search of the men and the vehicle and recovered a quantity of suspected ganja as well as the black full-face mask.
Officers pursued the third man and located him nearby. He was also taken into custody. All three men, age 20, of Bodden Town, North Side, and George Town, respectively, were arrested on suspicion of possession and consumption of ganja and remain in custody as investigations continue.
