(CMR) A Georgia man on the run for over a decade on child molestation charges is behind bars in the US after being captured in Jamaica.
Charles Manord Rainey (71) was wanted for aggravated child molestation, child molestation, and sexual battery. Warrants were obtained for his arrest back in December 2011.
Rainey is accused of molesting a girl under the age of 16 back in 2010. A bench warrant was issued for his arrest in 2011 after he didn't show up to court.
According to authorities, Rainey was taken into custody on November 15 and admitted his identity and that he had overstayed his time in Jamaica.
He was held in Norwood, St James, in a raid carried out by members of the Jamaica police Lotto Scam Task Force, Fugitive Apprehension Team, Counter Terrorism & Organized Crime Investigations Branch (CTOC), and the United States Marshals Service.
He has since been deported back to the US and is now in the Paulding County Jail awaiting trial.
