UPDATE: News coming out of Jamaica is that dancehall artist Spice's health has deteriorated over the last 24 hours. According to Nationwide News, sources said a close family member was summoned to the Dominican Republic due to her serious condition.
Spice's booking agent denied on Thursday that the artist had serious complications due to surgery; however, the very vocal artist has not come forward to deny that she suffered a heart attack during surgery. Jamaicans are expressing concern about the artist as news continues to spread that she is in serious condition in hospital.
(CMR) Several bloggers on social media have been calling for fans to keep dancehall artist Spice in their prayers as she allegedly suffered complications during cosmetic surgery in the Dominica Republic.
Allegations are that Spice, whose real name is Grace Hamilton, suffered cardiac arrest during surgery and had to be placed in an induced coma.
There are no confirmed reports of this, and Spice, who announced that she was taking a break from social media a few weeks ago, has not commented on this.
Also, organizers of an event in the Cayman Islands where Spice is expected to perform later this month are unaware of this.
“I'm receiving news that dancehall artist Spice is down in DR getting work done and is having complications,” a page called Plastic Surgery Connection posted.
Minister Marion Hall, formerly Lady Saw, also asked fans to pray for Spice. Although the two have had their differences in the past, Hall said she was putting their disagreements.
