(CMR) Twenty-eight migrants arrived in the Cayman Islands over several days last week, the Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control Service (CBC) has reported.
CBC confirmed that a vessel with three (3) male migrants arrived in Cayman Brac on Wednesday, 26 October, at 7 pm, On Thursday, 27 October, another vessel with 14 migrants, thirteen (13) males and one (1) female, arrived at 5:52 pm.
Three of the migrants arriving on Thursday showed signs of dehydration and, upon arriving on shore, were met with Health Services Authority and assessed.
Another vessel arrived in Cayman Brac at 4:00 am on Friday, 28 October, with nine (9) male migrants on board and then Saturday, 29 October at approximately 10:00 pm, a vessel was found onshore in East End with two (2) male migrants.
All will be processed in accordance with CBC’s established protocols.
The previous week, a large number of migrants also arrived in the Cayman Islands.
