(CMR) The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service confirmed that Cayman Brac resident 31-year-old Devon Wright Jr. was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of possession of cocaine. He has since been formally charged with Possession of a Controlled Drug and appeared in court on Monday.
Police officers found a package of suspected cocaine after officers stopped and searched the vehicle he was traveling in around Sound Way and North Sound Road, George Town, Grand Cayman.
His arrest sparked rumors in Cayman Brac, as Devon Wright Jr. is the boyfriend of the mother whose child went missing and was found lifeless along the ironshore on July 26. That child's death remains an open investigation.
