(CMR) Police are investigating an incident where a firearm and a machete were brandished on Saturday, 18 June. The RCIPS said shortly after 12:30 am, officers responded to a report of a disturbance involving firearms at an address on Eastland Drive in East End.
It was reported that several people at the location had become involved in an altercation, where at least one person brandished a firearm while another brandished a machete. Upon the arrival of officers, multiple vehicles were seen leaving the location. Officers stopped two of the vehicles and conducted searches; however, no firearms or other weapons were found.
The matter remains under investigation, and anyone with any information is asked to contact Bodden Town CID at 947-2220. The police said it is known that several persons were present at this event, encouraging any of these witnesses to come forward with information.
