(CMR) A Cayman national was one of three persons arrested in the murder of a taxi driver who was robbed and killed in La Ceiba, Honduras, on Friday, 13 May.
Reports out of Honduras are that the victim, identified as José Luis Ramírez Meléndez, was taken from his car by three individuals who shot him with a firearm several times in the La Isla neighborhood of the municipality of La Ceiba.

Caymanian 19-year-old Jayden Woodman-Webster was arrested along with a Honduran (41) and a Jamaican (25). They all resided in La Ceiba.
The arrest of the three suspects was reportedly carried out in the La Isla neighborhood minutes after the crime was reported.
With the prompt response of the police, the men were located as they attempted to escape in the car of the victim a few blocks from where he was killed. The murder weapon and the vehicle were seized.
The National Police said officers were committed to identifying, capturing, and bringing anyone suspected of committing crimes in Honduran territory before the relevant authorities.
