(CMR) The police have announced that they arrested Justin Kyle Jackson (23) of West Bay, who had been wanted by police after having fled officers during the police pursuit on Friday night, 29 April.
Jackson, who was arrested on Wednesday, 4 May, has been charged with murder.
Today, 6 May, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions directed that Jackson be charged with Murder in relation to the fatal shooting of Harry Elliott, which occurred on Monday, 25 April.
Jackson has also been charged with Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm in relation to the previously mentioned police pursuit.
This afternoon, he appeared in court and has been remanded until next week, Friday 13 May.
“This arrest and charge is a significant milestone towards getting justice for the victim and his family and disrupting recent incidents of serious criminal activity in Cayman,” says Detective Superintendent Peter Lansdown.
