(CMR) Police are investigating another armed robbery, this time of Central Liquors in Bodden Town.
Police reports are that shortly after 9:30 pm on Friday, 8 April, officers responded to a report of a robbery at the liquor store on Bodden Town Road, just east of Monument Road. It was reported that two men, who had their faces and heads covered, entered the store.
One of the men brandished what appeared to be a firearm and demanded cash. The men then fled east on foot towards the beach with a quantity of cash from the register. No shots were fired, and no one was injured during the incident.
Both men were dressed in all black, were masked and wearing gloves. The man who brandished the firearm is described as being of medium build, about 6’ tall, and wearing a long-sleeved hoodie jacket. The other man is described as being of slim build, approximately 5’10” in height.
Over the past weeks, there have been several armed robberies carried out by two men; however, police have not confirmed if these are the same two perpetrators.
The matter is under investigation, and anyone with any information is asked to contact Bodden Town CID at 947-2220. Anonymous tips can be provided directly to the RCIPS via their Confidential Tip Line at 949-7777 or website.
