(CMR) Persons who may have information about a recent spate of armed robberies are being urged to tell the police what they know. There were several reports of armed robberies being carried out by two men last week.
The most recent robbery was on Friday, 1 April. The police were dispatched to a report of a robbery that took place at JN Money on Homestead Crescent in Savannah at about 9 p.m.
It was reported that two masked men entered the premises, one armed with a firearm, the other with a knife, and demanded cash. The men made off, on foot, with a quantity of cash, in an unknown direction. One of the men was wearing long sleeve black shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers. The other was wearing a multicolored shirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers.
The men were said to have made off on foot to the rear of the premises. No shots were fired during the incident; one man who was present at the location sustained minor injuries.
The incident is being investigated by the police. Detectives are encouraging anyone with information about this or any other recent robbery incidents to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
