(CMR) With effect from Friday, 31 December 2021 (New Year's Eve) liquor license holders in the category of retail bars are permitted to open until 2 a.m. on Friday nights only, with liquor sales ceasing at 1.50 a.m.
Also only on Friday nights, retail nightclubs may operate until 4 a.m., although sales must cease at 3.50 a.m.
A decision has also been taken to allow nightclubs to open from 12.01 a.m. to 4 a.m. on on Monday, 3 January, which is the New Year's Day Public Holiday.
In all cases gathering limits of 100 persons indoors and 250 persons outdoors will be strictly enforced.
Both these changes are until further notice. Going forward all bars and nightclubs must close at 12 am from Saturday-Thursday. License holders are also reminded to adhere to all other conditions of their licenses.
