(CMR) Governor Martyn Roper recently hosted a farewell reception for housekeeping manager Elsa Magcaleng who has served eight governors over 26 years.
In a Facebook post, Governor Roper said, “Elsa has given amazing support to 8 Governors over 26 years and was appointed by former Governor John Owen in the 1990s.”
“There was nothing she did not know about Government House. She created brilliant floral decorations, looked after everything at the house, and supported at receptions/events. We do not know what we will do without her,” Mr. Roper added
Governor roper said there are many fond memories of Magcaleng's time at Government House.
“She has many stories to tell! She will be deeply missed. I wish her all the very best in her retirement and thank her for her outstanding service,” he said.
