(CMR) The police are now investigating the death of an infant boy who died after he got into difficulties at the beach on Wednesday, 3 November.
The RCIPS said just before midday, police were informed by the 9-1-1 Communications Unit of a report of an unresponsive infant boy at the West Bay Clinic.
Officers attended the West Bay Clinic and were informed that the infant and his parents were at a beach along the Seven Mile Beach when the infant began experiencing difficulties. He was taken to West Bay Clinic by his parents, where he was treated by medical staff at the location and then transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital by Ambulance.
The infant was later pronounced dead by the attending doctor. The police are investigating the circumstances of this sudden death incident.
