(CMR) The Ministry of Education (MoE) is reminding operators and managers of all educational institutions and those providing educational support services to register the institution with the Education Council in accordance with Section 9 (1) of the Education Act, 2016 and Section 6 of the Education Regulations, 2017.
MoE Chief Officer Cetonya Cacho also outlines the importance of registering educational institutions. Cacho explained:
“The registration of educational institutions enables the Ministry to recognize those in adherence to the national education standards, thus ensuring that the nation’s children have access to quality education.”
The process of registration, which continues throughout the year, varies according to the institution’s categorization.
Educational institutions and support services are further categorized as those providing compulsory education, early childhood care, technical and vocational education & training, post-compulsory education, those catering to special educational needs or disabilities, tutoring centers, or mobile tutoring services.
