(CMR) To support customers facing financial hardship due to isolation requirements, Water Authority- Cayman has suspended disconnections in Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac for thirty (30) days, effective 12 October 2021.
This will provide a grace period to all persons currently in isolation who may have challenges paying their bills to avoid disconnection.
Water Authority said it “fully supports all actions to assist the most vulnerable in our community during these challenging times as we transition to living with COVID.”
Customers who are in isolation and are in a position to make payments are encouraged to do so online by visiting www.waterauthority.ky and clicking the “Pay My Bill” button on the home page or via online banking.
All customers who have continuing financial difficulties and cannot make full payment are encouraged to contact the Authority's Customer Service Team to make arrangements for a payment agreement. Customers can contact the Customer Service Team at [email protected] or by calling 94WATER (949-2837).
Tenants are asked to discuss the matter with their landlord, as they will need approval.
