(CMR) The Public Health Department has temporarily closed the COVID Vaccination Clinic after administering the last of the current supply of the Pfizer-BioNtech vaccines on Saturday, 5 June.
The clinic is expected to reopen the 17 June following the planned arrival of additional vaccines from the UK.
Dr. Samuel Williams-Rodriquez, Medical Officer of Health and Acting CMO, said the Health Department was happy with the vaccine uptake.
“We are extremely pleased to know the people of our country took full advantage of the opportunity given to them and successfully utilized all the vaccines ahead of their expiration date. We hope that once we receive the new stock, the uptake will remain positive.”
As the country awaits new stock, persons are reminded that the COVID-19 vaccine is now available to persons 12 years and older. Parents must accompany minors to provide consent and supervision.
