(CMR) Cayman Marl Road sources have indicated that Gordon McLaughlin (38), Team Supervisor for the security guards at the Cayman Islands Airport Authority, has been terminated from his position and arrested by the authorities after it came to light that he had engaged in alleged sexual misconduct with a 15-year-old child.
Reports are that the young lady is the child of an acquaintance of his and that he was “paying off” the mother in order for her to remain silent. However, the father recently became aware of the situation and went to the bosses at CIAA and demanded something be done. Reports are that he was arrested on Tuesday as well.
In an attempt to scrub himself from public scrutiny, McLaughlin has since removed his Instagram and Facebook pages as the story began to gain traction. He has been with the CIAA for over 11 years and is a supervisor.
The CIAA nor the police have issued any statement about this matter at press time. This is a developing story and once more information is available it will be updated.
McLaughlin has three children including two girls.
