(CMR) A man sitting inside his car outside a bar in George Town was robbed at knifepoint and forced to drive to another location before he managed to escape early Monday morning.
The RCIPS reported that officers received a report that a robbery had taken place at about 3 am on Martin Drive in George Town. It was reported that the man had been sitting in his car outside a bar when two other men approached and entered his vehicle.
One of the males brandished a knife and robbed the man of cash and personal items. The men then directed the victim to drive to another location near the Strand before one of the men exited. A struggle then ensued between the victim and the second man, and the victim was able to remove the man from the vehicle and drive off. The victim was not injured during the incident.
One of the suspects is described as being about 43 years old, about 5’4” tall and of brown complexion, with low cut hair. He was wearing a dark t-shirt and long jeans pants. The other suspect is described as being in his 30s, about 5’11” tall, of clear complexion and with long hair in a ponytail. He was wearing a white t-shirt and black shorts.
