“My disappointment in Rankine can't be overstated. He is foolish and showing his political immaturity at this time.”

Caymanian voter

(CMR) As the PACT prepares to take control of the government Cayman Marl Road has learned that MP for East End, Issac Rankine has demanded to be Premier of the Cayman Islands.

The revelation came early Saturday morning after we understand that he continues to be missing in action and had signed on to work with the Progressives. A long day of protesting has sent a strong message that the country does not wish to be under another Progressive-led government. Issac remains the last man that is holding out and apparently, his request is that he became Premier instead of former attorney and MP Wayne Panton.

Issac, a local business owner has no experience in the civil service, no experience as an MP, and no experience as a minister. He appears to think that as a rookie he is somehow capable of running the Cayman Islands with a $4 billion economy.

Many people have wondered how he became so delusional in such a short space of time and what the Progressives were offering him that would allow him to believe he has this sort of power to make such a ludicrous demand. Rankine made it clear during the campaign that he would be willing to do anything to get into a government but now his demands have exceeded that.

One political observer shared:

“I honestly believe this is a way of shutting down conversations” as he's well aware he would never be given premiership by any group including the Progressives.

Issac is planning a meeting this evening in East End after he sent out a message stating that it was for East End residents only. It did not take long for the memes to start:

Caymanians have been protesting and will continue to do so against anyone that puts their own self-interest ahead of the well-being of the country. At last night's meeting at the Seafarer's Hall the numbers grow to over 350 people who were anxiously awaiting news from Sabrina Turner. Turner confirmed that she has retuned to the Independent's PACT with a new sense of commitment.

Yesterday's Protestors

A personal message has been sent to Issac from Sandy Hill, host of The Cold Hard Truth:
