(CMR) The United Kingdom Government website accidentally leaked Prince Philip's funeral date on Friday.
Prince Philip died Friday morning a month after he was released from hospital following two heart procedures.
According to the release, which has since been deleted, a period of national mourning began on Friday, April 9.
“From this date, a period of national mourning began and will continue for eight days until the morning of the funeral,” the website stated.
It also stated that the Duke of Edinburg's funeral would be on April 17. Buckingham Palace has since announced that the Duke's funeral plans will be completely revised due to coronavirus restrictions and will be announced in the coming days.
Members of the public have been asked not to attempt to attend or participate in any of the events that make up the funeral.
The Duke left strict instructions that he wanted to have a relatively low-key funeral with commemorations remembering his military ties and charity patronages instead of a lying-in-state.
The coronavirus pandemic will also influence the number of persons who will attend the ceremony.
The funeral ceremony is expected to be held at St George’s Chapel, Windsor, before the Duke is interred in the Royal family vault beneath the chapel.
The Lord Chamberlain’s Office is organizing the funeral.
