(CMR) A policeman was attacked and stabbed 14 times early Saturday morning as he made his way to work on a highway in Clarendon, Jamaica.
Reports are that the cop stopped along the highway at about 3:15 am to change a flat tire when he was attacked.
His attacker demanded that he handed over his wallet, and a struggle ensued between both men.
The policeman, who was stabbed 14 times in the back, managed to seek help and was assisted to the May Pen Hospital, where he remains hospitalized.
The Clarendon police have since issued a warning for motorists traversing the thoroughfare to exercise caution as criminals are reportedly setting traps to get vehicles to stop.
