(CMR) At least five people were killed, and multiple others injured during a massive car pileup in Fort Worth, Texas, as Winter storm Shirley created icy roadways Thursday morning.
Approximately 100 vehicles, including cars and trucks, were strewn across the highway with some vehicles on top of each other, local media reported.
It was also reported that cars were stuck beneath 18-wheelers and trucks.

Several people were trapped in their cars. Reports are that firefighters were going car to car, looking for people who needed medical help urgently.
Earlier, up to 50 people were considered to be critical, but that number could increase, authorities said.
The crash site reportedly stretches for 1.5 miles along the freeway, with traffic backed up for miles.
