(CMR) The recycling depot located at Hurley’s will be closed as of Saturday, February 13, the Department of Environmental Health (DEH) said.
However, the new location has not yet been revealed; the DEH said it was seeking an alternative location to service the Red Bay and Prospect communities.
Details on the new site will be provided as soon as the location is up and ready.
The public is asked to use an alternative location either at Foster’s Countryside or Foster’s George Town for recycling in the interim.
DEH noted that the depot's closure in Red Bay was the end of a long-standing and successful partnership. The department thanked Hurley’s and Grand Harbour to support the recycling scheme.
DEH also expressed gratitude to the community for their continued efforts towards creating a greener Cayman through recycling.
