(CMR) The early morning response to the COVID-19 vaccination client at the Health Services Authority (HSA) has been phenomenal with early eyewitness reports sharing that the line is going around the building.
The Public Health Department launched the COVID-19 National Vaccination Campaign on Friday morning.
The National Vaccination Plan outlines different groups in the community to be vaccinated based on vulnerability and potential exposure to COVID-19. The vaccinations will be free and available to persons in Stage 1, Group A (see attached for all Stages & Groups).
This follows the ceremonial vaccination that took place yesterday of His Excellency Governor Martyn Roper, Premier Alden McLaughlin and others at the HSA. One management source at the hospital indicated that the response has been very positive.
Persons receiving the vaccine must wear a facemask, present a Government photo ID and sign the COVID-19 vaccine consent form. The form is available at https://hsa.ky/public-health/coronavirus/ or https://bit.ly/3ot0IG3.
For persons attending the Flu Clinic (George Town location) at the Cayman Islands please park in the Seventh Day Adventist Church adjacent to A&E. Signage for the clinic will direct persons to the clinic.
Public Health has organized on-site vaccinations for residents and staff of institutional facilities, frontline staff dealing with incoming travelers and healthcare workers from private hospitals.
