(CMR) Official sources have indicated that despite rumors to the contrary Skylar Mac remains in prison and rumors that she boarded Cayman Airways KX 3102 to Miami this morning are completely false. However, CMR has been able to confirm via independent sources that she is still in prison at this time!
Despite official government reports to the contrary the feverish rumors that imprisoned quarantine breacher, Skylar Mack, has been granted a pardon continue to spread within the community. The governor's office has said that his rumor is absolutely NOT correct.
It was an extra flight put on for today but officials say that Mack is not on the flight.
On Christmas Eve CMR received information that she had been granted a pardon from the governor of the Cayman Islands. However, sources close to that office denied the rumor at that time and again denied it this morning; indicating that it is simply not the case. Other high ranking government officials have also denied that she was granted a pardon yesterday afternoon.
However, other sources claim that she has been and the official documents were to be released to prison authorities this morning at Fairbanks prison to orchestrate her quiet departure. One source shared that:
“US threatened to cancel all US visas for Caymanians so the UK government conceded”.
Meanwhile her boyfriend, Vanjae Ramgeet remains in Northward prison according to these same reports. The rumor goes that their attorney had reached out to officials to inquire as to why Ramgeet was also not pardoned.
The source of rumors appears to be chatter in political circles that the US may be willing to threaten Cayman's standing with them if she is not released before her regular release date. Americans threw their weight around including several senators who reached out to the Jamaican Embassy on the matter.
