(CMR) A female motorist was taken into police custody to be questioned in connection with a fatal crash the claimed the life of 24-year-old Police Constable Fabian Morrison.
Reports indicate that at about 8:10 a.m., that Constable Morrison was driving a Police service motorcycle in a Westerly direction when on reaching the intersection of Arnold Road and Camp Road, a female motorist turned suddenly into the path of the service motorcycle resulting in the collision.
Constable Morrison was flung from the motorcycle and received multiple injuries. A team of JDF paramedics assisted him to the Kingston Public Hospital where he died whilst being treated.
The Police High Command is expressing condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Constable Morrison. The Force’s Chaplinacy Unit and Welfare Unit has been providing support to the family members and colleagues of Constable Morrison.
Constable Morrison graduated from the National Police College of Jamaica in January, 2019 and in the short time he has served, he has proven himself to be an asset to the Constabulary Force, through his dedication and commitment to his duties. Constable was hailed as an outstanding Force Motorcyclist.
