(CMR) The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) on Tuesday (November 17) encouraged residents to report sexual crimes to the police.
The RCIPS made the statement after it said it was made aware of allegations circulating on social media regarding inappropriate sexual behaviour by a local promoter.
“We encourage any persons who have been affected by sexual assault, harassment or any other criminal actions to contact the RCIPS Family Support Unit at 649-9185 and submit a formal report,” said the police in a release.
“Any complaints of a criminal nature will be thoroughly investigated and all necessary safeguarding measures put in place for anyone making such a report,” added the service.
